Mr Donato caught up with members of the aero club at their clubhouse at the Parkes Airport on Friday, March 15 to celebrate the grant.
"I'm thrilled to announce the Parkes Aero Club will receive $20,000 to enable them to build a new awning on the clubhouse building," Mr Donato said.
"The new awning will provide outdoor undercover space and will facilitate safe access to the public toilet.
"I'm very pleased to have supported this funding," said Mr Donato.
Mr Warwick Tom, Public Officer of the Club, said the awning will be very beneficial for the members and guests.
"We have a small but very active membership," Mr Tom explained.
"The current wood decking is exposed to the sun and rain, and can become very slippery.
"The awning will provide year-round protection from the elements and give us an outdoor social space," Mr Tom said.
