A huge dust storm that none of us will forget for a long time coated the town in an eary orange with strong winds knocking out the power.
Just what you need at the beginning of a Party.
If it wasn't for Bob Newberry loaning his generators to keep the party going it would have been a very quiet and hot affair.
Daniel Allen kept the BBQ cooking for everyone to have a great bite to eat.
Everyone was able to dress up as their favourite celebrity past or present to celebrate the end of 2018!
All money raised from the BBQ will be donated to the hall. Lauren Bigham won the lucky door prize of a week away in Foster.
Simon and Ann Walker, Craig and Lauren Williams, Ross and Lucie McMahon and Paige Tull all won best dressed on the night.
A big thank you to John and Tammy from Southern Rush for playing on the night.
Others that should be thanked are St Vincent De Paul, CWA, Tullamore INC, TCCC, Platina, Givit, Fifield Hotel, Parkes Cellars and Helen and Jenny Harvey for their kind donations.
We were very thankful to have Deana Bye helping out on the night and then to have John Bye, Hugo and Jayden Maloney helping cleaning up the hall the next morning.
Of course it wouldn't have been a successful New Years Eve Party without the support of the community who braved the dust storm and the blackout to see out the old year and bring in the new making it a great night.
Thank you Tullamore.
Trundle
Happy New Year to our Tullamore, Trundle and Bogan Gate readers from Robyn Blunden and Jan Ashe.
This is a note from Robyn Blunden asking the Trundle, Tullamore and Bogan Gate community if they would once again send their little snippets of news, et cetera so we can get our community news page in the Parkes Champion Post on Fridays back to the great page it was.
The past 12 months have been hard and we would love your news of births, deaths, marriages and great holidays as the senior members of our community enjoy catching up with these.
Photo's are most welcome of events and can be emailed by Jan to the paper.
Anyone may contact Robyn on 0457 445 384 in Trundle for the email or phone number to give us your news for the paper.
We look forward to hearing from our community.
