Maddy (12) gained selection in the 2018 NSW PSSA State team after performing well at the NSW PSSA Girls’ State Cricket Carnival held in Maitland from November 5 to 8, 2018.
She represented Western at the Carnival.
The Western team, under the guidance of popular well-known member of the Parkes cricketing community Teagan Heraghty who is a teacher at Peak Hill Central School, did well to finish sixth out of 13 teams at Maitland. Western scored good wins over South Coast, Polding and North West.
This was the third consecutive year Maddy has represented Western PSSA at State Carnival after initially gaining selection in 2016.
Prior to the state carnival Maddy was selected to attend a talented players camp at St Gregory’s College at Campbelltown during the September/October school holidays.
Maddy has been playing cricket in the Parkes and District Junior Cricket Association for the past six years.
