We offer a nutritional afternoon tea during after school care, every day of the week. Our menu is carefully selected to include the recommended daily requirements of fruit and vegetables for each day. We take menu inspiration from the national program – Eat smart, Play smart and also what our children like!
At PCYC Parkes, children are encouraged to engage in activities that allow them to explore role play. In the picture some of our kids explore their sensory capabilities through playdough. Collaboratively, the girls are ‘cooking up a storm’ using a variety of materials and the dough.
As we are an accredited childcare you may be eligible for childcare subsidy.
We understand it can sometimes be hard to juggle keeping kids active with work commitments and life in general after hours.
PCYC Parkes runs Out of School Hours care from 3-6 pm. The town bus drops your kids off at the front door where our staff are waiting.
We will give your kids afternoon tea, help them with homework, do some arts and crafts then take them to their chosen sport either gymnastics, hockey, netball or basketball.

Blue Star Citizenship is the first step in the young person’s leadership journey with PCYC. Participants are required to attend two camps and complete 20hrs of volunteering at the participants local PCYC.
Citizenship camps are challenging but fun, and focus on team building, individual character building, citizenship values and an introduction into what PCYC is, what we do and what can be achieved. At the completion of a Citizenship program, the young person will have gained their First Aid Certificate and will have completed two modules of the Certificate 1 in Active Volunteering.
