Parkes Police appeal for assault victim, witnesses to come forward

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in the early hours of Sunday morning to come forward.

The incident, involving two males, occurred in the driveway of the BP all-nighter around 4.40am.

An Engel brand fridge was stolen from the back of a utility overnight on Friday.

The ute was parked in Currajong Street between 6pm on Friday and 6am on Saturday. Offenders used bolt cutters to remove the fridge from the tray. The 80 litre fridge is valued at $2000.

Two unknown males entered a business premises in Pioneer Street at 4am on Friday and stole $30 in small change.

A Waeco brand fridge was stolen from the rear of a vehicle parked in the car park of a motel in Clarinda Street at 2.20am on Thursday.

The fridge/freezer is valued at $900.

A 38-year-old Parkes man will appear in court after being caught driving without a licence on Friday.

Police stopped the driver of a blue Holden Acclaim on the Newell Highway at 11.45pm.

Checks revealed the driver’s licence was cancelled. 

He will face court on the charge of drive while licence cancelled.
