The accident involved a pantec truck, a Toyota Landcruiser utility and a Mazda CX9 sedan.
Initial investigations suggest the driver of the utility, a 56-year-old female from Grenfell, had slowed down to a complete stop to turn right into Watts Lane.
The driver of the pantec, a 21-year-old male from Orange, was also travelling south when it appears he failed to see the utility and collided heavily with it.
Due to the force of the impact, the pantec veered into the northbound lane and collided with the Mazda, which was driven by a 42-year-old man from Victoria.
The utility was propelled some metres before coming to rest on it’s side on the side of the road.
Both the drivers of the utility and pantec were taken to Parkes Hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Mazda was uninjured.
Police investigations are continuing including mandatory alcohol and drug testing.
