With 14 girls registered by the end of the season, this is the most successful Net program that has been held in recent years. It was fantastic to hear that the girls all loved the season, and are looking forward to coming back next year.
This weekend sees the start of the finals for our Division 1 and 2 competitions, and the final weekend for our SetGo competition. There have been some changes to this non-competitive division this year, with a focus on increasing the skill level of the girls throughout the season.
This seems to have been successful, with the players getting better each and every week, and their general skills continuing to improve at a much faster rate than previous years. The players and their coaches are to be commended on a fantastic year.
Parents and carers, please note there will be a small presentation at the conclusion of your games this week, so please allow for a little extra time at end of the day.
Nominations are open for the Kelly Swetland and Rae Medlyn awards for the 2018 year, and will close on August 18. This award is open to all junior players who, like Kelly, show commitment and dedication to netball.
The Rae Medlyn memorial award is in memory of Rae Medlyn, who was a strong supporter of netball within the Parkes community. The award is given to a person who has committed their time and has provided an overall significant contribution to the Senior Competition of Parkes Netball.
