Fast forward to 1997 and John Lennon was granted a green card for permanent residence in US, in 2012 Queen Elizabeth II opened the 30th Olympics in London, and in 2016 Wholesome Blend opened it’s doors for the first time in Parkes.
Wholesome Blend celebrate their second birthday today and owner, Cathy Littlewood, said the past two years had been a great adventure for her customers, her team and herself. “At Wholesome Blend we love that we’ve been able to create endless opportunities to help people heal themselves and look after their health,” she said. “As the industry grows, its exciting to see people flourish and embrace changes and new products becoming available”.
The quirky yet comfortable cafe specialises in smoothies and smoothie bowls, and organic coffee by ‘Art of Espresso’ from Young, which features three different coffee blends to choose from. They also boast an amazing hot beverage menu, with some interesting and trendy latte flavours such as turmeric, ginger, beetroot and matcha, and broccoli.
Wholesome Blend has a daily selection of slices and treats, and prides themselves in raw and refined sugar, grain free, and dairy free options as well as some traditional favourites. There is an excellent range of milk choices to suit all dietary requirements such as hemp, coconut, almond and lactose free, along with a beautiful range of speciality teas by ‘Tea Tonic’.
With helpful convenience, they also stock a wide range of grocery lines such as gluten and dairy free, grain free and vegan as well as a range of super-cultured probiotics.
