President Alice Milne said all money raised will go towards the CWA Natural Disaster Fund, and is earmarked for drought assistance for farmers in need.
“We're a small branch but that doesn't change the fact that we care for our community,” Alice said.
“Every dollar we raise will go directly to farmers in our state to make some small difference to their living conditions at this time.”
The branch are planning a Christmas in July lunch on Thursday, July 26 at the Generocity Church in Bogan Street.
CWA members will make soup and sweets, which can either be eaten at Generocity Church or taken away.
The cost will be $15 per person and all funds raised will go towards supporting farmers. Everyone is welcome to attend and if you are not able to attend you are welcome to donate.
The CWA will also run a raffle and be collecting funds to help drought stricken farmers at the Parkes Show.
