The carnival served as great preparation for the U13 State Championships to be played in Wagga Wagga on July 13 to 15.
Throughout the weekend the boys successfully competed against strong teams from Canberra, Illawarra and Sydney South.
They finished first in their pool and played off against Goulburn in a tense and close Semi Final, with Parkes coming away with a 2-1 win.
This win secured the team a place in the Final against Sydney East.
The Final proved to be tough affair, however Parkes were able to get the ball in the net on two occasions with the final score being 2-0.
The boys proudly represented Parkes, displaying great team work, sportsmanship and skill throughout the carnival.
The players and parents would like to thank Graeme Tanswell (coach) and Steve Collins (manager) for all their time and effort put into the team before and during the carnival.
