Emergency services responded to the first report at a Parkesborough Road address at around 8pm.
Fire and Rescue NSW, Rural Fire Service, SES, NSW Ambulance and NSW Police all attended.
Despite the combined efforts of both fire services, the house was unable to be saved and was destroyed by the fire.
There was no one in the house at the time.
The second call, reporting another house fire in Bogan Street, came in around 4.30am on Thursday.
The home was fully alight when emergency services arrived.
Fire and Rescue NSW, Rural Fire Service, SES, NSW Ambulance and NSW Police were all in attendance at this blaze.
Police evacuated nearby residents and closed the road while firefighters battled the blaze.
Once again the Rural Fire Service assisted Fire and Rescue NSW firefighters but the home was fully engulfed and ultimately destroyed.
The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
At this stage the cause of each fire is unknown.
Police inquires will continue with forensic services examining each scene on Thursday.
Parkes Fire and Rescue NSW Captain Craig Gibson said the fires are a timely reminder for residents to check their smoke detectors are working properly.
“Working smoke detectors save lives,” he said.
