The men, aged in their 20s and 30s set off on a fishing trip from Cremorne, near Hobart, in a five-metre fiberglass boat on Sunday morning.
When they failed to return that night, family members raised the alarm.
Police began searching Monday and found two bodies mid-afternoon in Frederick Henry Bay.
It’s believed the men were carrying life jackets but no emergency locator beacon.
Police, assisted by Australian Maritime Safety Authority personnel, and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, will resume searching Frederick Henry Bay and Storm Bay down to Cape Raoul for the two other men.
