Most pleasing was the number of kids, with all local primary schools entering multiple teams.
Newly announced Olympian, Scott Westcott - who organised the event - tested out the five kilometres course and finished in 15:10:50 - almost 10 minutes in front of the second placed male runner.
Australian triathlete, Jane Fardell also ran the course, pushing Scott much of the way before finishing in 18:32:88.
Steve Luscombe certainly did not need any extra exercise, but was a surprise participator.
With his dog Milo, Steve is walking to the Cape and across to the Kimberley for AMAZE which is a Victorian Charity supporting autism.
