Mayor Cr Ken Keith yesterday welcomed the opening of the new Aldi store in Parkes.
“It is always wonderful to see new investment in Parkes,” he said.
“Parkes has a strong and diverse economy and this is demonstrated by companies like ALDI choosing to invest in our community.
“We are a town which is always open for business and we are excited that ALDI is opening their doors.
“In addition to the approximately 15 additional employment opportunities that ALDI will bring to the shire, they will add to the diversity and the experience of shopping in Parkes.
“I believe that it will bring more people to town to shop within our CBD,” he said.
