Welcome back and Happy New Year!
Hopefully 2022 will be a much better and safe year. We had a Stableford event to start and some interesting scores were had.
Winner for the day was Rob 'Yoyo' Hey who amassed 42 points bringing his handicap down 11 to 4.
Some would say where he belongs!
In second spot was Mick Smith with 40 points (pity he couldn't do that on a Wednesday), and equal third was the father and son duo of Bernie King and Mat King.
I did hear a rumour that Bernie is a closet dragons supporter, so nice work Bernie.
Nearest the pins for the ladies was Sue 'Saint' Smith on the 4th.
In the mens nearest the pins, Mick Smith cleaned up with two holes, the 1st and the 11th, Rob Hey on the 4th and the 18th, Richard Hamilton on the 6th and our regular sharp shooter Phill Smith taking the 15th, thanking Ian 'Silverside' Phipps for his donation.
The lucky card draw went to the big fella Ritchie Wells, with the bunny award going to a well deserving Simon 'Jnr' Hogan.
Raffle winner was Ian Phipps with runners up Sue Smith, Richard Hamilton and the King twins Bernie and Mat.
The New Year is looking great with our new style golf shirts, proudly donated by The Services Club.
A big thank you to Mike Phillips and all your staff, We also have two trips away planned for 2022. The first being in March and the second on the long weekend in October.
All new players are welcome. Happy golfing!
