Given the great day, 119 players presented for a run at the trophies. The event was a two person aggregate with individual prizes as well.
It was great to see many golfers having a meal and drink on the clubhouse hill post their round - socially distanced and compliant.
Given it was a day of firsts, we had first time competition player Gordon Pritchard teamed with another Gordon in Gordon Christie, an old fox in sheep's clothing, and they managed to amass the insurmountable score of 86 points to lead home the field.
Naturally the handicapper got to work on the Gordons, and they will start on lower numbers next outing.
Also Phil Bishop managed the rare feat of an eagle on the day.
In the individual it went to Jarrod Kemp, with another scintillating round of 43 points.
It may have been some years since Yab has compiled a score this big and celebrations were definitely in order.

Given that great score it was surprising to see that he only scraped in by one point from four other players and then back to 2 others another point.
The conditions must have been way too easy on the day!
The A-graders wreaked havoc with nine players getting under the 80 mark this week - Brendan Chambers and Aaron Wilkie leading them home with 1 over 73s.
Other notables on the day were Andrew Huntly and Richard Hutchison hitting 82's, long time since they'd visited that postcode and Richard Hamilton on 83.
