Matty and his family have returned to Parkes after a successful trip to the Gold Coast for the Australian All Age Swimming Championships.
He swam in nine events and achieved six top five finishes including a silver medal in the 50m breaststroke and a bronze medal 100 breaststroke.
Matty also set seven new personal best times despite over 100mm of rain falling throughout the event and he was very pleased to be able to finally a chance to catch up with swimming friends.
Matty is very thankful for all of the support from everyone so far including his coach Jodie Turner and friends at Official Parkes Sharks Swimming Club.
The swim season hasn't quite finished yet with training continuing for the upcoming NSW CHS State championships being held at the end of April at Sydney Olympic Park.
Mum Sharon Scott said it's the first time Matty has set qualifying times for this many events at National titles.
