Fortunately for both animals, Superman snake catcher Paul Newcombe was on hand to capture the snake before either could go 12 rounds.
Depending on who you ask, the chair in the photo was either used to guard the hospital against the venomous vistor, or shepherd it away from people and out to the car park.
Breeding season began several weeks ago for snakes, and while they are certainly still out and about, the chances of encountering one in town are quite slim.
If you see a snake, please do not attempt to kill or re-locate it, most injuries are caused by an inexperienced person attempting to handle or kill a snake.
Call Paul Newcombe on 0424 522 608 if you have a snake that needs catching and moving to a safer, isolated location.
