Their creation, called Dr Suess' Garden, was made from thousands of plastic lids.
The artwork was created by the Middleton staff and students, under the direction of Mrs Helen Standen.
The Middleton School community collected plastic lids for at least 12 months to complete their project.
The two purple pipes and the green strapping used for grass was waste from the recycled Water Rising Main Pipeline construction.
The Dr Suess' Garden brightened up a dull, dirty corner in the playground and it is open for all students and community to walk through and be reminded to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle our waste.
Middleton is renowned for their outstanding creations as they have led the winning field for the past seven years in the Waste to Art competition and their school boasts many of their Waste to Art constructions around their school grounds.
