The Rhinos' win helps set up a mouth-watering, top-of-the-table clash with premiers Trundle on Saturday at Berryman Oval, the Boomers taking care of business against Peak Hill 62-6 to ensure both clubs enter this weekend's grand final rematch undefeated.
On Sunday at Cargo, an injury ravaged Blue Heelers were essentially a no-show against a Grenfell Goannas side that stormed to a 42-6 win and third place on the ladder.
The Goannas led 24-0 at the break and didn't relent in the second half either, running in nine tries in total with goal-kicker Mitch Stevens only managing to convert three of his nine attempts at goal.
In league tag, in the top-of-the-table clash, Cargo won 24-14 over a Grenfell side that took it up to the Blue Heelers girls all game.
Canowindra were big 48-14 winners over Molong and Manildra enjoyed an equally impressive 48-0 over Eugowra. Condobolin had the bye.
In youth league at Cargo, Grenfell turned the tables this time in a 26-16 triumph over Cargo while Manildra won 24-6 over Trundle. Molong had the bye.
