Parkes emergency services called to two-vehicle accident on Welcome Street

Emergency services were called to a two-car collision in Welcome Street at 2pm on Monday.

The driver of a white Holden utility, a 17-year-old Parkes male, was turning right onto Welcome Street from Cecile Street and then right into the car wash when he collided with a blue Holden Commodore sedan being driven by a 36-year-old Parkes male.

Police are investigating a break and enter in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Unknown offenders gained entry to the yard of a commercial premises on the Peak Hill Road and ransacked a number of vehicles stealing various items to the value of $250.

Police are viewing CCTV footage of the incident in the hope of identifying those responsible.

A 23-year-old Parkes man will face Parkes Local Court on Monday, April 4, after being charged with drink driving on Monday.

Police stopped the driver of a Holden utility in Clarinda Street at 7am.

He returned a positive road side result and a further breath analysis returned a mid range reading.
