She enjoyed an afternoon party held in the conference room at the Comfort Inn Bushmans on Saturday, December 29.
Shirley turned 90 years young on New Year’s eve, December 31.
Her family and friends travelled from many places for her afternoon party, with her three sisters coming from Port Macquarie, Grafton and Taree.
Her grandsons also made the trip to Parkes, travelling from Sydney, Port Hedland, Brisbane and Singapore.
Shirley, who gave up tennis only five years ago, is still actively involved in the Parkes community with crochet classes, water exercise and her church.
