The auxiliary received merit certificates in recognition of raising more $20,000
Members Donna Payne and Kim Horan said they couldn’t have done it without the community’s support.
“We would like to sincerely thank the community of Parkes for their continued support,” they said.
“Every dollar we raise goes directly back to the Parkes Hospital, benefiting every department.”
Kim said one of the aims of the auxiliary is to cover every one of the 27 beds at Parkes Hospital with an air mattress.
“So far we’ve bought three air mattresses and a bariatric mattress,” Kim said.
“The Parkes Services Club have very generously provided us with two more air mattresses.”
The air mattresses cost $3,250 each.
Donna said the auxiliary is always on the look out for new members.
“We would love more members of the community to join our group and have fun while raising important funds for our hospital,” she said.
