Forbes pop musician Celia Pavey, now professionally known as Vera Blue, has been nominated for the 2017 ARIA music awards.

Last year the Forbes-born star performed alongside Illy at the gala Australian music awards night, this year she will be among the nominees.
Her album titled ‘Perennial’ has been nominated for the 2017 ARIA Best Pop Release.
The artist has taken to social media to express how overwhelmed she is over the nomination.
“I can't even tell you how it feels to be acknowledged in the Australian music industry alongside artists that I am inspired by and look up to,” she posted to Facebook.
“I feel so blessed to be part of it all so young and to be able to celebrate Aussie music in this way!
“Congrats to all nominees today … such a beautiful opportunity for us to be together and congratulate each other for the hard work and love that we put into our music.
“Nominated or not, we all share the same passion and it's truly special to be able to share our music with all of you.
“Thank you for embracing us.”
This nomination caps off a busy time for Vera Blue, she’s just wrapped up her “Mended” tour – named for her single - of Australia.
She described the tour as “unreal” when she posted to Facebook on her last night. She sold out venues in Sydney, Melbourne, Wollongong and more.
Celia rose to stardom on “The Voice” and took the stage name Vera Blue in 2015 when she began working on the ‘Fingertips’ EP, creating a whole new sound featuring her signature folk vibes, blended together with electronica beats.
Later this month she’s bound for London, then she’ll be making her first overseas support tour in the USA with Jacob Banks on his “Into the Wild” tour.
The 2017 ARIA music awards are on Tuesday, November 28 in Sydney.
Other nominees for Best Pop Release include VANFEST headline artist Amy Shark for Night Thinker; Dean Lewis for Waves; Jessica Mauboy for Fallin’; and SIA for The Greatest.
