A 50-year-old Parkes woman was taken to hospital suffering minor neck injuries after a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision at the intersection of the Forbes Road and Woodward Street.
The woman, driving a Commodore station wagon north on the Forbes Road, was stationary with her indicator signaling she was turning right onto Woodward Street.
The 18-year-old, travelling behind her in a blue Holden Rodeo utility, failed to stop and ran into the rear of the Commodore.
Parkes Police, NSW Ambulance, and Fire and Rescue NSW personnel all attended the accident.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Investigation are continuing, however the male driver is likely to be issued with an infringement notice.

A 22-year-old Parkes man will face Parkes Local Court on a possessing a prohibited drug charge on Friday.
He was arrested on outstanding warrants on Tuesday for failing to appear in court.
While in custody he was searched and found in possession of a small amount of cannabis leaf.
