Teams travelled from as far as Brisbane, Bankstown, Lake Macquarie, Canada Bay, Willoughby, Port Stephens, Dubbo and Wagga to challenge their stamina, strength and social sporting abilities.
“It's wonderful to see so many teams travel so far to be here to battle it out for our 25th year,” Parkes Councillor Louise O'Leary said.
“We're proud of Parkes and very happy to share our region with you all.”
With two divisions for mixed and men's, the finals were a battle of the best.
Mixed A division grand final was between Brisbane and Parkes Shire Council Mixed.
The final score was 4-5 in Parkes’ favour.
Player of the Grand Final went to Michael Murphy from Parkes Shire Mixed.
Mixed B division grand final saw loyal team Wagga City Council go down to Port Stephens Sharks by one point.
The final score was 7-8.
Player of the Grand Final was awarded to Brett from Wagga City Council.
The pressure was on in the Men's A division grand final with Parkes Elvi and Parkes Shire Council Men's locking at 3-all at full time.
The draw forced play into extra time.
Parkes Shire Council Men's team pushed through to score the winning try, taking home the Greenwood Cup.
Jack Elliot from Parkes was presented the Player of the Grand Final title.
Men's B division grand final was a fast game between Dubbo Dogz and Willoughby City Council.
Willoughby City Council took the lead with the final score 3-2.
With the sports elements out of the way, the Best Dressed Team was a close call with two teams the standout performers.
The force was with Wagga City Council, who dressed as Storm Troopers with their very own Darth Vader.
But they were out-dressed by the dedicated Brisbane team who took to the field with German lederhosen jerseys with customised names including Heidi and Schnitzel von Bakon.
It wouldn't be complete without a costume change for the evening activities and the classic Bavarian lads and ladies donned more outrageous lederhosen pants.
Parkes Shire Council congratulated Brisbane for bringing its A-game to Parkes.
Although Wagga City Council were pipped at the post for best dressed, they were presented with a Sir Henry Parkes Medallion in recognition of their participation in each and every national annual Local Government Touch Football Carnival since 1992.
Council would like to thank you all its volunteers who supported the event and helped make it another successful day.
