Parkes SSAA Smallbore Rifle
Last weekend saw nine shooters attend the Deap Lead Shooting Complex on the Back Trundle Road (Victoria Street) 6km west of the main street and shoot at ordinary targets at both 25 and 50 metres for a maximum of 500 points.Once again there was a strong south/west wind blowing which caught out all the shooters as it changed direction and velocity without warning. It was quite a sight seeing all the wind flags blowing in different directions at the same time.
- Target Rifles 25m - 50m - Total
- David Wilson 250 - 248 - 498
- Tony Drabsch 250 - 247 - 497
- Ayden Bradley 250 - 247 - 497
- Brian Drabsch 249 - 242 - 491
Basyl Rudenko 249 for 25 metres only and one shot for practice only. John Davis 248 - 236 - 484. Field Rifles: John Smeaton 245 - 245 - 490. Jim Nash 237 - 225 - 462.
Our next shoot is at 1pm November 13, and will be an animal target at both ranges. Basyl is back after a five month layoff, but he had some trouble at the 50m range and did not finish that stage. Most shooters had trouble seeing clearly at the 50m range which could have been caused by the wind and pollen inside.
