Parkes Shire Council had a stall set up at the 2016 Trundle Show to better inform people about the native plants in the shire.

Staff members Emily Brotherton and Katrina Dwyer were on hand for the day.
The stall holders were also handing out a free native plant to anyone who inquired about council events, budgets or any projects the council is currently completing.
The plants Emily and Katrina were giving away were native to the Parkes Shire and they included yellow box, bimble box, iron box and white box.
The girls gave away around two dozen plants on Wednesday at the show.
Emily said the show go-ers were impressed when given the free plants.
“It’s not something you usually get in a showbag,” she said.
Meanwhile there was a Lachlan Valley Noxious Weeds Trailer at the Trundle Show.
The trailer, manned by Kane Davison and Brendon Roffe, was a very informative part of the 2016 show.
