Parkes police are continuing enquiries into two unrelated alleged assaults.

The first incident was reported to police on Tuesday.
A 54 year-old Parkes man told police he was assaulted inside a hotel by another man last Sunday night.
The alleged offence occurred between 9pm and 9.30pm.
The victim claimed to have suffered minor facial injuries.
The second offence is alleged to have occurred between 5.30pm and 6pm Tuesday at a unit in Clarinda Street.
Police report a 24 year-old Parkes woman claimed she was assaulted by a Parkes man and in the process, received minor injuries.
According to police the incident wasn’t domestic related.
Malicious damage to old hospital
The big move from the old hospital to the new occured on Tuesday and vandals didn’t wait long to strike at the former Health Service.
Malicious damage was discovered at 7pm Tuesday night.
A window was smashed - resulting in a damage bill of $600.
Police are continuing their investigations and ask anyone who may have information to phone them on 6862 9999.
Malicious damage
Malicious damage was caused to the former OneSteel complex in East Street.
Vandals gained entry to the yard and damaged a copper pipe and hot water system.
The damage is alleged to have occurred between midday Tuesday and 7.30am Wednesday.
Small fire
A discarded cigarette but is believed to have been the cause of a small fire outside the Parkes Services and Citizens Club on Wednesday evening.
According to police, smoke was seen coming from a drain after paper had been ignited by the cigarette butt.
It was quickly extinguished and the Parkes Fire Brigade were not required to attend.
