This year they are supporting two charities.
The Parkinson’s Support Group has been the recipient in the past, and it’s always a success the members are proud of.
“This year we wanted to also support the CanTeen Foundation.
“CanTeen fundraising contributes to helping youth affected by cancer,” one of the organisers, Brittni Carroll said.
“Being a youth concert, we thought it was a brilliant opportunity. “
The cast for the concert range from the ages of eight to 20.
This year’s theme is ‘A Night on Broadway!’ so you can expect some tunes from your favourite musicals such as Oklahoma, Mary Poppins, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and more.
“We have decided to put a twist on the concert this year, and have added a short one act play into the mix,” Brittni said.
The concert runs over this weekend only - Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm.
Tickets are $15 each and all proceeds will be donated to the two charities.
Members will also be selling CanTeen bandannas and pens for Bandanna Day before and after the shows.
Tickets can be purchased from Parkes Stationery and Office Furniture, online at www.parkesmandd.com.au, at the door or by contacting Brittni on 0401 721 893.
“These kids have worked so hard and just can’t wait to show everyone what we have in store for them,” she said.
