The Group 11 Lachlan District Junior Rugby League executive asked clubs for their thoughts on what should happen with the end of the 2021 season.
All clubs responded, with the LDJRL indicating most clubs said that for the health and safety of all players and communities the rest of the 2021 season should not go ahead.
President Mark Whitla said in a statement that the LDJRL were disappointed not to be able to continue, but reinforced it was the right decision to keep everyone safe.
"We as a Lachlan District Junior Rugby League Executive have had a look at all the responses and made the heartfelt decision to end the 2021 season," he said.
"This has not been an easy decision, but based on club feedback and the possibilities of not being able to have crowds for the rest of the 2021 season, and the ever-evolving situation locally with COVID-19 cases in our region, this was the correct decision taking all club responses into account."
Whitla indicated that the league won't be announcing premiers, but did say they would acknowledged individuals in each grade.
"The decision has been made that there will not be any premiers awarded, but in saying that we will acknowledge the Best and Fairest for the 2021 season.
"We do hope to do this toward the end of the year, or early next year, depending on what COVID restrictions are in place.
"We will also be acknowledging our development players, and presenting them their apparel for the under 12s, 13s, 14s and 15s at the same presentation, and for those that are needed at these presentation, LDJRL will notify the clubs involved," said Whitla.

Whitla said the league was looking forward to the 2022 season rolling around quickly so all the boys and girls in the region can continue to grow as footballers.
"The welfare of our players, spectators and volunteers is of the utmost importance, so stay safe all and hopefully the 2022 season will come around soon enough," he said.
The Parkes Marist Junior Rugby League Club had a brilliant 2021 season, with all seven sides making finals; and three sides finishing the regular season on top of the ladder.
It is a huge shame for our talented little Spacies won't get a chance to reward themselves for such a consistent season across the board, but they will come back bigger and better next season.
