The post-season format is set to remain the same, but an extended lockdown period could force the Cup committee to re-visit the schedule.
And at Thursday's 11am COVID-19 update it was announced regional NSW's lockdown had been extended; vindicating the league's decision.
Woodbridge Cup took to its Facebook page to provided its followers with an update.
"There was an opportunity to possible play on the Sunday after we came out of our lockdown, but the stop-start news reports and the waiting isn't good for anyone," it said.
"Another week should see some direction from the NSW government."

As it stands, Canowindra and Molong will host post-season slates on the weekend of August 28-29.
With Canowindra losing the minor premiership spot, it will host the Trundle Boomers in a second vs. third semi final.
Grenfell and Canowindra will play in the league tag match, while Manildra and Grenfell will play in youth league.
Molong will host Eugowra in the men's frame, while Bulls league tag and youth league will play Trundle and Cargo respectively.
It has been a reasonable successful season for local sides, with Eugowra and Trundle both making finals.
After last weekend's pre-lockdown win, Eugowra were touted by many as dark horses for the premiership.
The Boomers are perennial contenders, and know how to get the job done in finals - so they are well in the hunt as well.
The Peak Hill Roosters didn't make finals after finishing in sixth, five points behind Eugowra.
They had a tough year in many respects off the field, but on the field they showed their electric best in flashes of brilliance and they are superbly lead by local boy Torin Hando.
Fingers crossed all the men and women of Woodbridge get to return to the field and reward their hard work with finals footy.
