The construction of the new Recycled Water Rising Main across Parkes continues to progress, with minor works scheduled from tomorrow, May 28 to May 31.

In an update released by Parkes Shire Council on Friday, the works will progress along Currajong Street from Mitchell Street to the Newell Highway and at Kelly Reserve.
Roads will remain open during these works, however variable speed limits will be enforced.
Council are asking motorists to please follow instructions from traffic controllers.

Meanwhile, remaining construction works that are still underway in town include Nash Street near Field Road and Renshaw McGirr Way near the Parkes Cemetery - there is ongoing activity for the construction of the Recycled Water Reservoir and Pump Station.
There are preliminary works for rehabilitation of the vacant block at the Eugowra Road and Henry Parkes Way intersection.
Council said there will be hydrostatic testing taking place along the pipeline routes in coming weeks.
"Any disruptions will be localised and for short duration," the update read.
"Traffic controllers will direct motorists as required."
