Police observed the man driving and checks revealed his licence was disqualified.
He was pulled over at 2.10pm and given a roadside drug test which returned a positive result for cannabis.
The man was arrested and taken to Parkes Police Station for a Drager test which also returned a positive result for cannabis.
He was charged with driving while disqualified and will appear in Parkes Local Court on Monday, November 5.
Police will wait for the results of further analysis before taking any action on the drug matter.

A vehicle, left unlocked in the driveway of a Callaghan Street home, was maliciously damaged overnight on Sunday.
The Holden Commodore was left unsecured between 4pm on Sunday and 9.30am on Monday during which time unknown offenders gained access to the boot and removed a jack, opened the bonnet and removed electrical wires from the engine bay and punctured the rear driver’s side tyre.

Police received reports of loud music at a Medlyn Street address on Tuesday afternoon.
When officers attended the property at 5pm the music was still playing loudly.
The occupant was issued with a 28 noise abatement direction.
