A touching tale of what love can do

Tianne is a passionate advocate for animal welfare.

“How frustrating must it be when you need help but no one can hear you, no one can understand you, and at times it may feel like no one loves you,” she said.

“There are so many animals out there that need our help and most importantly our love.”

Tianne’s little baby Annabelle, who is the biggest ‘little baby’ in her and her husband’s dog family, was one of those animals who needed help and needed love.

“Early one morning in October 2015 a very, very thin, fragile and pale white dog ran across the road in a hurry, narrowly missing a passing car,” Tianne said.

“The dog ran straight up to the right person, my husband Josh. He looked at this dog standing in front of him, covered in fleas, he could see every inch of her bone structure, that was how starved she was.

“He raced her to the pound and was told she had no microchip and if she was left there she would certainly die.

“Josh brought that little gift home to me. We bathed her, fed her and loved her.

“The next day I took her to the vet only to be told ‘you should put her down, she won't last’.

“Two years later she is the most beautiful gift I could have ever asked for.

“Words cannot explain the happiness she brings to, not only our own animal ark, but to everyone she encounters.

“She was lucky enough to find someone to love her, but not all animals run into the right person.”
