Four students and the principal of Tullamore Central School are off on the trip of a lifetime this weekend to attend the Centenary of Anzac commemorations at Gallipoli.

The students were named among 100 high school students, aged 15 to 18, selected to represent NSW at Gallipoli.
The Tullamore contingent includes prin cipal, Mr Peter Nichols, and students Hannah Walker, Morgan King, Harrison Jones and Kim Cashman.
The students will participate in a nine-day tour during which they will visit historical sites and First World War battlefields in Turkey and attend the Anzac Day Dawn Service at Gallipoli.
To qualify, the 377 student applicants had to go through a rigid selection process.
The Tullamore students provided impressive cases for inclusion in the touring party:
Hannah Walker - Research project of "Local Heroes" including people from the Tullamore / Narromine area who served in WW1 and WW2.
Did interviews with relatives and gained information from primary sources including local cemeteries.
Morgan King - Series of charcoal drawings and supporting documentation relating to people who served in WW1. Centrepiece was a beautifully framed drawing.
Harrison Jones - wrote a series of fictional letters written from the perspective of those who served at Gallipoli based on research into their experiences.
Kim Cashman - wrote an original poem called 'The Fallen of Gallipoli' based on the emotions and experiences of soldiers in the front lines.
The students and teachers will join more than 10,000 Australian and New Zealanders at the Dawn Service commemorating the Gallipoli landings in 1915 and will also attend the Australian Service at Lone Pine later on the morning of April 25.
The Tour group will depart Sydney on April 19 and return on 27 April 27.
