This Sunday’s Round 5 matches sees four sides in win and survive situations.
Current leaders Bathurst with three tie wins and 15 match wins are up against second placed Forbes (3.13).
Third placed Parkes (3.12) tackle Duntryleague (3.11).
Parkes require victory over Duntryleague and with the home ground advantage, the locals should start favourites as all five team members are in excellent form.
The other match could go either way.
The two winners of these ties will go through to the semi-finals.
If Bathurst win they will qualify first.
If Forbes get over the top of Bathurst and record a narrow 3-2 victory, it would mean that Parkes need to win 4-1 to qualify first.
Parkes will need to score one more point than Forbes this Sunday to qualify first.
The Parkes side for Sunday is Ken Cobcroft, John Green, Steve Edmonds, Peter Dixon and Robert Hey.
Parkes have the bye and lead the competition in Division 1 on three wins and 11 matches.
It is now a matter of who finishes on top.
Duntryleague go up against Bathurst this Sunday and can take top spot with a victory.
Division 3 is a tight contest as Duntryleague lead on two wins and 11 matches, slightly ahead of their final round opponents Bathurst on 2.7.
Cowra with 2.8 are favoured in their clash with Forbes.
The Parkes side in this Division have performed creditably.
With luck against them, they were defeated in three matches by the barest of margins, 3-2.
These defeats ended their semi-final aspirations.
Cowra are guaranteed of a semi spot in Division 4 as they are the only undefeated side.
The Bathurst v Forbes match will see the victor progress to the semi-finals and the loser to lament their chances.
The Parkes Division 4 side has been unable to field its top side due to work commitments.
Despite this, the players have rallied and put in some solid efforts.
The Parkes side for this Sunday is Chris Goodie, Tony Evans, Jordan Grosvenor, Wayne Tucker and Joshua Hook.
