Parkes veteran golfers president Peter Bristol shot a great round of 77(six over par) to win last week's twin-towns event played at the Parkes course.

Bristol was in scintillating form as he put together 42 points for the18 holes to comfortably win the day from the field of 30 players.
The previous week's winner Forbes' Ken Sanderson continued his good run and backed up with 40 points to take the runners-up prize.
It was a good scoring day for Parkes and in the teams event the top six players compiled 216 points to win the twin-towns shield.
The Forbes team score was 204 points.
Nearest-to-pins both went Parkes' way with Ian Phipps closest on the par three fourth hole and John Fowler taking the honors on the 11th.
The ball sweep went to 33 points with the winners as follows:* 37 points - Phil Standen, (P)* 36 points - Ian Phipps and John Fowler; Steve Edwards (F)*35 - John Dwyer (P)* 33 - Nim Dziuba and Rob Lea (P); Barry Shine (F).
The encouragement award went to Denny O'Leary.
