Owners and directors of Langlands Hanlon and Raine & Horne Parkes, Geoff and Renée Rice, were pleased to take home third place in the National Rural Office (Broadacres) Dollar Value section at the National Raine & Horne 2020 Virtual Awards.

The awards were hosted via live broadcast by Australian comedy royalty Vince Sorrenti.

The event attracted thousands of the network's principals, sales agents, property managers and support staff.

With border closures in place, Renée said the network used the latest video technology to connect their offices right across the country for the celebration.

Geoff and Renée said they were thrilled with the result.

The Central West of NSW was represented strongly with many nominations and winners also hailing from Bathurst, Cowra and Dubbo.

Executive Chairman Angus Raine said the performance of the regional offices in the virtual awards underpins the fact that two thirds (66 per cent) of the real estate markets around Australia have not been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Langlands Hanlon, who is located in Parkes' main street and has been trading as they have for the last 80 years, diversified into real estate a few years ago, taking on the 137-year-old super brand Raine & Horne.

Geoff and Renée believed Raine & Horne were able to provide them with the industry's best processes, procedures, improved communications, latest technology platforms and training that would benefit wider Parkes community.

Taking on the franchise, they said they were impressed with the Raine & Horne management's passion for rural and regional Australia and were excited to collaborate with other offices within the network.

Geoff and Renée, and their expanding business now service the Parkes and Forbes shires in residential and commercial property management, as well as rural residential and commercial sales.
