The two sides couldn't be separated for the first three quarters before the Spacemen exploded, with five tries scored in quick succession.
Both star winger Jamarra Goolagong and centre Toby Miller scored a double for Parkes, with Toby showing remarkable poise and maturity this year, belying his young age.
Powerful foward Finnley Neilsen and crowd favourite Jason Wright also nabbed tries, and the pair command attention from the opposition defence every time they touch the ball.
Parkes coach Sam Dwyer knows there is some improvement to come but was stoked with the result.
Getting the win secured us a spot in the semi finals, so very pleased about that.
"Our first half wasn't up to standard but we finished the game strong which was pleasing.
"Hopefully we can keep this winning form up heading into the back end of the season," said Dwyer.
It will be a huge game on Friday evening when the Spacemen take on Forbes in the local derby at Pioneer Oval, with the match kicking off at 7.30pm.
Their match in Round 4 was played in very wet conditions at Spooner Oval, and saw Forbes clinch the win by just four points.
Can our boys stamp their credentials with by reversing that result over our arch rivals? Be sure to head down to Pioneer Oval to find out from the comfort of your car.
