Bob Skinner Painting & Decorating Junior League Tag team won 16 -18 against Forbes Black last weekend taking them through to the next round.
Under 12s
Last weekend saw the K and H constructions U12s play a thrilling game of football against Cabonne last Saturday with a 10 all score at half-time.
The boys were able to put two successful tries on the board before half-time and defended well to ensure Cabonne didn't score giving them the win 18 -10.
They play this Saturday in the Minor Finals against Red Bend at West Wyalong.
Under 14 Blues
Parkes MP Home & Design Under 14 Blues travelled to Canowindra last week taking on the Condobolin with great defence and attack from all the boys.
They defeated Condobolin 46 - 38 with tries to Malakai Folau (3), Paul Richter, Charlie Oraha, Charlie Mahon (2) and Tye Toomey with successful conversions from Kaid and Malakai.
Under 16s
Brian Collins Smash Repairs Under 16's took on a determined Forbes side last Saturday at Canowindra.
Ball passing from one side of the field to the other saw Col Rauchle finish the set with a try unfortunately conversion hit the post giving Parkes only four points.
After a time-out due to an injured player, quick play by Parkes saw Toby Miller score with an unsuccessful conversion.
Parkes defense was strong but nine minutes before half-time Forbes scored and convert.
Strong defence continued and the score remained the same as they went into half-time, 8 - 6.
Second half saw Forbes score quickly. Parkes fought back working strong as a team. Kyle Mawhinney scored followed by a successful conversion by Michael Riley taking the score to 14-10.
As Parkes worked to score, they offloaded during tackles to keep the ball alive with Toby Miller finishing the play with a try and Michael Riley converted giving them a good lead 20-10.
Play continued with both sides wanting more points but defence was strong.
An error by Forbes saw Parkes gain the ball and Michael Riley was able to score a try and successfully convert. Parkes had a stronger lead 26-10.
A penalty gave Parkes advantage and Maia Haenga turned it into points. Michael converted. With four minutes to go Parkes simply had to hold on to possession and defend. A Parkes error saw Forbes turn it into points. Followed by fumbled ball on the full-time horn saw Forbes in again. Final score Parkes 32 - Forbes 10.
