It's on Saturday. Yes that's right! Saturday June 1.
The fete commences at 9.00am in the school grounds where there are stalls galore. The cake stall (with the famous Parkes East lamingtons!), the garden stall and "trash and treasure" are sure to be popular again this year. If these don't interest you there are gift baskets, tombola, crazy hair, and lucky dips to name but a few.
If you're out and about in Parkes tomorrow drop into our "real" coffee shop, or perhaps enjoy the BBQ or hot chips! We have displays! We have a Jumping Castle! The school Marimba ensemble will be making their public debut.
We have an auction at 10.00 am (a split system air conditioner, a live dorper lamb, a wood shed, business house vouchers, movie/car memorabilia, seafood dinner for two, wine, Aus Tennis Open women's final tickets, custom made sign, legal package, quilts, Rascals kids party, car wash tokens, and lots more).
At 1.00pm the IGA $1000 grocery raffle, garden raffle and wood raffle will be drawn.
P&C President Mr Matt Burkitt commented: "A massive thank you to the business houses and individuals who have supported the students of Parkes East by donating to our fete. Money raised by the fete will contribute to the continued upgrade of resources at the school. We are particularly excited that the P&C will be significantly contributing to the installation of new equipment for the Stage 1 playground."
You can be assured that the fete will be up to the usual high standard of Parkes East, so celebrate the coming of winter with a visit, have some fun, grab a bargain and a bite to eat (food will be available up to 1.30pm) and don't forget the lamingtons.
