Kalisha, from Parkes is a 19-year-old apprentice hairdresser and along with her father Dave, they are members of the CWCC.
When I caught up with Kalisha and Dave briefly their HZ had literally just been re-registered for road use and Kalisha still hadn't even driven it, but she's hoping to get behind the wheel and enjoy some old style motoring as often as she can.
The Kingswood is a 202 cubic inch six cylinder with a T-bar automatic which makes for easy driving.
It has its original Persian Sand paint and represents a tidy unmodified version of this Aussie classic.
“We bought it two and a half years ago in Sydney from the grandson of the original owner,” Dave said.
It's a little rough around the edges in places but it's all there and running so that'll do for now.

“I bought it for Kalisha to help her get involved with the car club so hopefully she'll enjoy it.”
Dave has rebuilt the motor in the HZ and given it a general tidy up but otherwise it's original and at this stage that's how he hopes to keep it.
“It's a little rough around the edges in places but it's all there and running so that'll do for now,” Dave said.
For Holden Australia the HZ model was built from 1977 - 1980 to replace the previous HX model with some minor exterior changes.
The HZ primarily saw the introduction of Radial Tuned Suspension across all models in the range making for much better road handling.
In 1980 the Kingswood marque was superseded by the now familiar Commodore in the Holden range.
For those interested in the CWCC more information can be found on their website www.centralwestcarclub.com or on their Facebook page.
The club will be hosting its 14th annual Charity Show and Shine on Saturday, October 13. This Car Show is run to raise money for the Parkes Branch of Can Assist.
There will be Saturday night Fish 'n Chips for tea at the ground as well as our Breakfast run on Sunday morning to The Dish restaurant at the Telescope. Save the date and come along to Pioneer Oval in Parkes for a great day out.
