SHOWING commitment to regional development, and further contributing to the local economy, fabrication and construction company Forefront Services recently opened facilities in Parkes, NSW promising the opportunity of new jobs in the town.
Forefront Services has secured a number of multi-million dollar projects across the Central West, including large-scale steel fabrication and installation at Northparkes Mines, and as a key contractor on the Parkes Sewerage Treatment Plant project.
With demand increasing in the area, Forefront Services recently opened their 3500 square metre facility in Matthew Street, Parkes. Three months later, they are already employing 20 local skilled professionals and estimate to secure more than $4 million in mining and construction income in Parkes in its first year.
“Forefront Services is known for its skilled workforce,” said Forefront Services general manager, Mr Anthony Redfern.
“Forefront will continue to invest energy into up-skilling local labour and we’re currently looking for local boilermakers and fitters to join the team.
“We’ve invested successfully in our people and, as a result, there is exceptional ability across the entire Forefront workforce,” Mr Redfern added.
“We look forward to increasing our workforce in Parkes and welcoming new employees to our company.”
The Forefront Services workshop facilities in Orange, Parkes and Sydney are fully equipped with an extensive and varied range of equipment suited to a wide range of engineering services.
“Forefront is now well situated to provide innovative engineering solutions and personalised service to clients throughout the Central West, Australia and overseas,” said Mr Redfern.
Forefront Services specialises in steel fabrication and construction, poly fabrication and installation, civil project management and construction, and earthworks but their main focus in Parkes to date has been in mining support services at Northparkes Mines.
“Our personnel are highly skilled operators with extensive experience across all facets of the mining industry,” Mr Redfern said.
“Whether it’s shutdown works, air-legging ground support, civil works or major upgrade projects, we can plan and complete whatever is needed.”
