In a mammoth of a nomination list, the latest sporting talent coming out of the Parkes Shire range from World Cup victors to Pacific School Games stars to outstanding and dedicated officials, coaches and administrators.
The annual awards recognise outstanding achievement in sport over the last 12 months.
Parkes Sports Council's Secretary Anthony McGrath is thrilled to announce the 2017 contenders.
The awards, sponsored by Parkes Champion Post, are divided into eight categories.
The winners will be announced during the Australia Day Awards ceremony in Cooke Park on January 26.
The nominees are:
Sportsperson of the Year: Talesha Quinn (Rugby League), Sam Dwyer (Rugby League), Dan Ryan (Rugby), Amy Hart (Cricket), Mariah Williams (Hockey), Kurt Lovett (Hockey).
Junior Sportsperson of the Year: Ryan Dunford (Cricket Athletics Hockey), Victoria Simpson (Athletics), Pascal Berry (Scootering), James Robinson (Lawn Bowls), Maddison Spence (Cricket), Harrison Bayliss (Cricket), Jake Magill (Tennis), Brad Burrell (Rugby), Will Searl (Hockey), Koby Johnstone (Hockey), Gracey Denham-Jones (Hockey), Jack Westcott (Hockey), Thomas Searl (Hockey), Meghan Searl (Hockey), India Draper (Hockey), Chloe Carty (Hockey), Benji Glasheen (Rugby League), Darby Medlyn (Rugby League), Luke Magill (Athletics).

Coach, Trainer or Manager of the Year: Sharon Dixon (Physiotherapy), Glenn Johnstone (Hockey).
