It appears local artists have found more than one use for the old Parkes Hospital’s bricks after the 110-year-old premises was demolished in December last year.
Members of various cultural groups in Parkes – with the help of Sean Cassidy and Scott "Sauce' Toney – are creating the three soil paintings.
And the "paint" used to create the art is handmade from local and regional materials, including crushed bricks from the old hospital.
The Erratic Symbiosis, Unearthing Voices, Sowing Future Visions exhibition is opening at Parkes Library at 11am this Saturday, and will finish on June 16.
