The Parkes Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Parkes Shire Council will be hosting the breakfast for local businesses on Wednesday (September 9) at the Parkes International Comfort Inn from 7am.
All businesses are encouraged to attend the breakfast which will provide networking opportunities and information from the Chamber of Commerce and Parkes Shire Council regarding upcoming campaigns and business support mechanisms.
“The Chamber meets regularly on the second Wednesday night of the month at the Parkes Services Club at 7pm,” President, Geoff Rice pointed out.
“However we realise that this time doesn't always suit everyone so this month we are trying something new and hosting the business breakfast.
“All businesses can come along as it is open to members and non members of the Chamber.
“We look forward to seeing some new faces.”
Parkes Shire Council, Economic and Business Development Manager Anna Wyllie will address the breakfast on council's involvement in the Small Business Friendly Program and will also be inviting businesses to provide feedback on how council can further support local businesses.
“We will also be launching our Christmas SPARKLES campaign and discussing how to enter the Sir Henry Business Awards,” Geoff said.
“The breakfast also gives businesses an opportunity to network with each other.”
Anna added that it would be great to see as many business people as possible in attendance.
“Council has several new initiatives that we are developing this year to work with local businesses to facilitate growth in our local economy,” she said.
“The breakfast will give council the opportunity to present these initiatives and also receive feedback from local business about how council can help.”
