Understrength but determined for a win, Parkes led 22-4 at half-time and maintained their structure in the second period to claim the competition points 36-10.
The win was set up by an entertaining first half where the visitors crossed for four tries to Westside’s one.
Jarrod Brown opened the scoring in the fourth minute, producing a strong run on the back of a Parkes penalty.
Jimmy Clyburn’s boot made it 6-0 before Joey Dwyer extended the lead after an excellent solo effort featuring a show and go.
Parkes were out to 16-0 inside 10 minutes when James Goonrey ran strongly onto a deft Joey Dwyer pass.
The visitors were cruising when Mitch Baker beat several defenders to score with Clyburn’s conversion making the score 22-0.
Dubbo reduced the margin to 22-4 just before the break, but a barnstorming Ethan McKellar try four minutes into the second stanza put paid to any chance of a comeback for the home side.
Westside did reduce the margin to 26-10 when they scored their second try on the back of a number of penalties and three repeat sets on the Parkes line.
That was as close as they got though as first Tyson Eastment and then Ethan McKellar crossed for a final score of 36-10.
Standout performers for Parkes were forwards Ethan Richards and Ethan McKellar.
Parkes enjoy the bye this weekend.
