The Minister will be accompanied by local federal MP, John Cobb.
Mr MacFarlane will meet with Parkes Shire Council staff and councillors at the Administration building early this afternoon.
Shire General Manager, Kent Boyd is expected to present details of the Parkes Natinal Logistics Hub before they travel out to the hub inself for an inspection.
The Minister will fly out of Parkes after the whirlwind trip.
Mr MacFarlane was first elected to parliament in 1998 and has held the portfolios of Small Business, Industry Tourism and Resources and Industry since September 2013.
