Jack was contacted by well known sports agent, Steve Deacon from Sports Agents Australia, after a trial game for the Western Rams in Picton.
A number of NRL clubs were interested in Jack’s signature, but it was the Raiders that won out in the end.
Jack has had an outstanding career playing rugby league and touch football since he was in the under 10s.
He has been a talented sportsman throughout his entire schooling career.
Jack represented at Polding (State Catholic team) level for the last two years of primary school in both rugby league and touch football.
He has now become the first player from Parkes High to be selected in the open NSW Combined High Schools touch football side which will compete at Port Macquarie in September this year.
Previously, Jack was the recipient of the Steve Sullivan Award for the Most Outstanding Player when he was in the Under 16s.
Jack has been a prominent member of the Parkes Under 18 Space Cadets for the past two seasons, scoring the try that led to Toby Evans fantastic conversion to win the premiership last year.
This year he was selected in the Western Academy Squad and was then selected as Parkes’ only Under 18 Group 11 representative.
Jack later gained Western Rams selection where he also had the honour of being named Captain.
The young Parkes player was unlucky not to be selected in the Country side, after strong performances in the country championships, leading the Rams into the final where they went down against the Bidgee Bulls.
Jack has spent time at Raiders headquarters to help prepare for his move to the nation’s capital in November and to undergo some fitness testing.
